Cardi B is increasing the number of tattoos she has, but this time it's on her face.

Hairstylist Luis Santana shared a video of his buddy Cardi getting red ink around her jawline on a tattoo bed on his Instagram Stories over the weekend. He tagged the "I Like It" rapper in the caption for the video, writing "Tattoo surprise."

Later, Cardi and tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos posted a selfie to their respective Instagram Stories that clearly showed the facial tattoo, albeit it's unclear what it actually says.

Fans think that the rapper may have had the name of her baby, Wave, tattooed on her face. In a tweet from January, she made a vague reference to having that particular tattoo, writing, that this was a random decision, but she is 1% close to getting her son’s name on her face and that she badly wants to do it.

Cardi posted pictures on social media in July to mark Wave's 10th month. The infant boy is seen in the pictures sporting a plain white onesie with what appears to be an inside-out crocheted blue and white ski mask placed over his head.

According to Lizzo, the song ‘I Love You B***h’ off her new album ‘Special’ was inspired by Cardi B.

Her fourth album, which was made public on 15^th July, does not contain the duo's 2021 joint effort, ‘Rumors.’ The two still worked together in various ways, as Lizzo said in her explanation of making of the song. 'I Love You B***h' came from a tweet and is not the same as 'Truth Hurts,' on the The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music and hence asked twitter not to come after her for royalties.

Lizzo said that, shortly after ‘Rumours’ with Cardi B dropped, Cardi tweeted that she wanted to hear a love song from her next, and she thought that if she ever made a love song, ‘I love you, b***h’ would be a perfect fit.

Chris Martin pleasantly surprised Lizzo at the same interview, and she talked about how his band's breakthrough smash, ‘Yellow,’ influenced her upcoming song, ‘Coldplay.’

The new album received a four-star rating from NME, who also noted that the ‘joyful superstar uplifts with self-assured, self-empowering bops.’

The music video for Cardi B's most recent single, ‘Hot S**t,’ which features Ye and Lil Durk, has been released. This big-budget music video was directed by Lado Kvataniya.

While Lil Durk delivers his line from atop a submerged automobile beneath a bridge, the video shows the rapper standing atop a skyscraper and descending down its side.

A masked person dances in front of a motorcycle later in the video, during Ye's verse. It's difficult to tell whether the person in the clip is indeed Ye because the mask is never removed throughout the entire video.

On 1st July, Cardi B released ‘Hot S**t.’ It is the third song to be taken from her upcoming, untitled second studio album, joining the chart-topping singles 'WAP' (with Megan Thee Stallion) from 2020 and ‘Up’ from the previous year.

Additionally, Cardi B has stated that she and Lil Kim are working on a joint project, and she and Offset are speculatively going to release a new mixtape. The rapper most recently made an appearance at Wireless Festival, when she performed ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion on stage.

Cardi B welcomed Megan Thee Stallion to perform their No. 1 single together, ‘WAP,’ during her Finsbury Park edition of Wireless Festival concert this year.

This will be Cardi and Megan’s debut joint performance of ‘WAP’ in the UK. The song debuted in August 2020 and has since earned a whopping 19 Platinum certifications in five different countries (as well as a Gold certificate in France). Cardi’s two headlining performances at Wireless are part of her first trip to the UK since the song’s release, whereas Megan has been there three times in the past two years.

On 8^th July, they performed the song at Wireless to a huge applause from Cardi’s sea of admirers, capping it off with a confetti explosion.

The Wireless Festival for this year, took place at Crystal Palace Park from 1st to 3rd July with headlining performances by A$AP Rocky, J. Cole and Tyler, The Creator.

The Finsbury Park and Birmingham NEC editions are both going on, till 10th July. SZA was the headline performer on 9^th July at Finsbury Park while Cardi wrapped up the celebrations in Birmingham. Burna Boy was scheduled to perform at both editions, but abruptly cancelled on 7th July.

In the meantime, Chinese social media and messaging platform, WeChat censored Megan’s performance of ‘WAP’ at this year’s Coachella. Users were greeted by the visual of the platform’s censors’ failed attempt to block out elements of Megan’s performance, when they tuned in to the livestream of her act, which was illegally broadcast in China.

The song ‘WAP’ will be on Cardi’s upcoming second studio album, which has not yet been officially announced but is anticipated to drop in 2022. She responded to the criticism she received after revealing that ‘WAP’ and last year’s ‘Up’ would be included on the album. She tweeted in response to people who claimed she would only include the two songs to benefit from chart certifications- “Imagine me not putting my OWN records on my album.”

The song ‘Hot Shit,’ which Cardi released at the beginning of July with Ye and Lil Durk, will also be included on her upcoming album. The album’s official release date hasn’t been made public, but Cardi said in May that it will happen this year.

On 1^st July, Cardi B released ‘Hot S**t,’ a single from her next album that features Ye and Lil Durk.

Tay Kieth, one of the biggest names in hip-hop, created the song, which was initially shown during an advertisement at the 2022 BET Awards late last month. Cardi starts it off with her trademark bravado before inviting Durk and Ye to contribute their own flow-switching verses.

Since 2021’s ‘Bet It,’ which was taken from the soundtrack for the OTT film ‘Bruised’, ‘Hot S**t’ is Cardi’s first solo release. Since then, the rapper has participated in a number of projects, such as Lizzo’s ‘Rumours,’ Summer Walker and SZA’s ‘No Love’ and ‘Wild Side,’ which features Normani. Recently, Cardi collaborated on the April song ‘Shake It’ with fellow Bronx rappers Kay Flock and Dougie B.

The 1990 song ‘Electric Boogy’ by Marcia Griffiths is sampled in the song ‘Hot S**t,’ which will be included on Cardi’s upcoming sophomore album along with other singles including ‘WAP’ and ‘Up.’ Cardi’s 2018 debut, ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ which won her a Grammy for Best Rap Album, is yet to have a title or official release date.

A new song called ‘Hot S**t,’ which will have appearances from Ye and Lil Durk, has been announced by Cardi B.

An advertisement that aired during the 2022 BET Awards announced the song's release on 26^th June. Later, Cardi shared the advertisement on her own social media, announcing that the song would be made available on 1^st July.

Though it's the first time she's listed as the lead artist, ‘Hot S**t’ will be Cardi's third release of the year. In March, the rapper worked on 'No Love' with Summer Walker and SZA, and in April, he appeared on 'Shake It' with Kay Flock, Dougie B and Bory300. The most recent single with Cardi as the lead artist was ‘Bet It,’ which was included on the soundtrack for the movie 'Bruised'.

In order to finish her second studio album, the Bronx rapper informed her audience in early 2020 that she was ‘going away for a very long period.’ Then, in December 2021, she disclosed that she was already working on the album in a ‘ghetto a** studio’ and that she would release the follow-up to 2017's ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ sometime in 2022. She informed her followers of ‘technical issues’ with her brand-new music in May.

Cardi responded to criticism she received earlier this month after admitting that two of her older tracks, the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted ‘WAP’ from 2020 and ‘Up’ from last year, would be included on her upcoming album.

To celebrate her son turning nine months, Cardi B shared a series of new images of him.

Wave is seen wearing jewellery and flaunting his hair in the beautiful photos. The photographs also catch the lovely eyes of the young one. Wave is Cardi and Offset's second child, who was born in September. Kulture, their first child together, is three years old. Offset is also the father of three children from prior marriages.

Wave's name and a peek of his face were initially shared by Cardi and Offset in April. Cardi revealed that Offset was the one who came up with the name Wave. She tweeted saying that, the moment she heard the name she was sold and that Wave had to be her son’s name.

Along with capturing him wearing his expensive bling, Cardi also included several shots of Wave enjoying infant life at her and Offset's sprawling Atlanta, Georgia home.

Olivia Rodrigo enraptured the audience at the 2021 AMAs, with her powerful musical performance of her current hit single, the breakup power ballad “Traitor.”

After being
introduced by host Cardi B — who said Rodrigo helped her “get over all the
heartbreaks that [she] had” —The teen pop sensation started off her song solo, strumming an acoustic
guitar and crooning in the first verse and chorus. Later, she grabbed the mic
and walked across the stage gracefully in her white dress, moving from one
dreamy backdrop (an open door leading to a star-lit scene) to another (a field
of flowers). She was later joined by her backing band, who amplified the song
with a cello, keys, drums, and guitars.  By the time the performance hit
its stride halfway through, the entire crowd at the Microsoft Theater in Los
Angeles had their hands up in full sway.

The stage set up was beautiful, but Rodrigo’s vocal performance was serene and breath taking — from the tender opening notes to some massive belting toward the end. 

Rodrigo leads all nominees with seven total nods, including Artist, Female Pop Artist and New Artist of the Year; “Drivers License” is nominated for Favourite Trending Song, Music Video and Pop Song; and her LP 'Sour' is up for Favourite Pop Album.

Following
Rodrigo in total nominations is the Weekend with six, while Bad Bunny, Doja
Cat, and Giveon are all tied with five each.

“Traitor” is the fourth official single to be released from Sour,
Rodrigo’s blockbuster debut LP, following the Hot 100 top 5 hits “Drivers License,”
“Deja Vu” and “Good 4 U.” On the most recent Hot 100 (dated Nov. 20, 2021),
“Traitor” ranked at No. 34, having previously reached as high as No. 9 on the
chart.

The American Music Awards aired live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on 21^st November 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC which was hosted by the one and only Cardi B. The night marked Cardi's first time hosting the award show — and the rapper, 29, previously said  she was "so excited," and "ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage!"

The star-studded awards show featured performances from BTS with
Coldplay, Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler the Creator, Måneskin, Walker Hayes, Mickey
Guyton, Bad Bunny, Tainy with Julieta Venegas, Carrie Underwood with Jason
Aldean, Kane Brown, New Edition and New Kids on the Block. Diplo was on DJ duty
for the ceremony.

Rodrigo and the Weeknd led the nominations with seven and six nods,
respectively. Bad Bunny, Doja Cat and Giveon each received five nominations.
The show’s winners are voted on by fans, with new categories this year
including favourite trending song, favourite gospel artist and favourite Latin
duo or group.

BTS took home the prestigious artist of the year award, as well as favourite
pop duo or group and favourite pop song for “Butter.” Megan Thee Stallion also
received three wins, for favourite trending song for “Body,” female hip-hop
artist and hip-hop album for “Good News.” Doja Cat had the same amount of honours,
winning collaboration of the year for “Kiss Me More” with SZA, as well as favourite
female R&B artist and R&B album for “Planet Her.” Rodrigo, meanwhile,
won new artist of the year.

Cardi B  has released a new single, ‘Bet It’, lifted from the soundtrack for the film Bruised, which has been released in full today.

The trap track is laden
with bass-heavy fast-paced verses from Cardi, who on social media said she
“loved working on this with [Halle Berry] and all of the amazing artists that
contributed to the soundtrack.

“We really making history
with this one.”

Bruised is an upcoming sports drama starring Halle Berry, who is also making her directorial debut. Berry and Cardi B are credited with being executive producers and curators of the soundtrack. The film is set to release on November 24.

“I can’t wait to show it. I have to tell you, one of the things I’m most excited about is the title song that H.E.R. sang… and she killed it,” Berry told Variety earlier this month. “So I can’t wait to share with everyone and am super excited.”

The album also features new songs from City Girls ('Scared'), Latto, Rapsody, H.E.R., Saweetie, Flo Milli, Erica Banks, Young M.A, Baby Tate, and more.

‘Bet It’ is the first release from Cardi B since her February single 'Up'. She has since teamed up with Lizzo on the latter rapper’s first single for the year, 'Rumors' , as well as Normani for 'Wild Side', Migos for ‘Type Shit’ and Summer Walker for ‘Bitter’.

Cardi B
will make her hosting debut at the 2021 American Music Awards which is set to air live from the
Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21.

"When I received the
invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited.” Cardi B said in a statement.
"I'm ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage! Thank you to Jesse
Collins, ABC and MRC for making this happen."

“We are immensely excited
to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music
Awards as a first-time host,” said AMAs executive producer Jesse Collins. “She
will excite the viewers, push the limits and deliver a show that will be
remembered forever!”

Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, performed “I Like It” at the 2018 AMAs alongside J Balvin and Bad Bunny. The smash went on to receive a Grammy nomination for record of the year.

A five-time AMA winner, Cardi has three nominations at this year’s show – favourite female hip-hop artist and two nods for “Up” as favourite music video and favourite hip-hop song. She made history the last time she graced the fan-voted music award show's stage as the first female rapper to win favourite hip-hop song twice, rocking with "WAP"  in 2020 and "Bodak Yellow" in 2018.

Cardi joins a long line of hip-hop stars to host or co-host the AMAs. Others include M.C. Hammer (1992), Will Smith (1994), Queen Latifah (1995), LL Cool J (2001), Sean Combs (2002) and Pitbull (2013-14).

Other A-list stars head into the
AMAs with a slew of nominations, including pop star Olivia Rodrigo, who leads with seven
nominations, notably for artist of the year. The rising singer is up
against other fan favourites such as Taylor Swift and the Weeknd. This is the fifth consecutive year
that a Black female star will front the AMAs. Cardi B follows actress Tracee
Ellis Ross (2017-18), R&B star Ciara (2019) and actress Taraji P. Henson
(2020).

The 2021 American Music Awards is produced by MRC Live & Alternative and Jesse Collins Entertainment. The show will be aired live at 8:00 p.m. EST/PST on ABC and will stream the next day on Hulu.
